Congratulations on the editing as I couldn’t tell your cohort was drunk on Luddites. He did waffle on a bit at one point I suppose.
As an aside, do you think Britain has an alcohol problem? It shouldn’t be seen as normal that someone just gets drunk for fun on a Saturday morning/afternoon, especially when they have other responsibilities. Yet this is not seen as weird by anyone in their 20s or 30s, the thought being that “it’s just a laff, innit”. In other countries I think it would actually be quite shocking. They’d think what is wrong with so-and-so that he gets hammered on a Saturday daytime.
There’s nothing to be done of course, it’s an ingrained cultural norm that has been around for generations. Is it good or bad? Who knows. Maybe Jessie will think twice before doing it again, maybe not. Would you kick him off the show if it became a regular occurrence?
So I guess that explains Jesse’s channeling of Mark Shuttleworth that seemed to pop up out of nowhere?

I couldn’t tell Jessie was wasted for half that show. I swore I would never give the JoeRes podcast a chance. But here I am.
